I am beginning a new phase in life after retirement last year. I love having more time - without driving for an hour each way to work - to spend as I choose. I enjoyed my career as a healthcare risk manager very much. Working with hospitals and their employees, addressing problems with customer service, and safety; taking action to avoid problems in those areas was a challenging and creative job, and one which will always be remembered as a rewarding career. However, writing and painting were my first loves early on and it is now so enjoyable to "work" on these for a change. To find yourself with actual time to do the things you enjoy is priceless!
