Chartered librarian. Current research interests within information management include the creative use of new technologies on information service provision (e.g. SMS texting, RSS for new acquisitions, vodcasts), changing cataloguing standards, and the information seeking behaviour displayed by undergraduates and researchers. Also very interested in 20th and 21st century German history and 19th century British history, new publishing models and electronic data. Chair of the ARLG Eastern regional committee and an ARLG national committee member. I also sit on the CILIP East Members Network committee.
