I am an associate professor in the American Studies Dept. at UNC-Chapel Hill. I am married to Bill Ferris, and we have a beautiful white lab named Roper. My step-daughter, Virginia, lives in Brooklyn Heights. My sister Jamie Cohen lives in D.C.
