I own an MSc from ETH Zurich and a PhD from KTH Stockholm, the latter on the optimization of aircraft components for manufacturing and life-cycle cost. I worked seven years for SLC-Lab (a Belgian lab for composite applications), and was lab manager since 2012. My technical focus was on thermoset processes, structural design and cost modeling. After a short stay in the bicycle industry I joined Umicore in 2019. Umicore NV is a multinational material technology headquartered in Belgium. At Umicore I am managing projects in the field of battery recycling and other processing-related technology.
