Markus started at the German engineering company Siemens AG where he served for three years as a International Controller and Business Analyst. In 1997, Markus joined the engineering company US Filter Inc. as European Controller focusing on M&A and Post merger integration. In 2001 he was promoted to CFO and MD Germany.
In 2004, Markus was sought out by worldwide video games publisher, THQ Inc. to join the European Management team as CFO, responsible for the company's financial strategy in Central Europe. During that time he was responsible for a $ 200M Cash Pool.
