Judge Mary A. Celeste sits on the Denver County Court bench where she was the Presiding Judge 2009 and 2010; the first LGBT and woman to hold that position in the history of that Court. She was the co-founder of Denver's Sobriety Court. She is currently a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Judicial Outreach Liaison for Region 8 and an Adjunct Faculty for the National Judicial College. She chairs the American Bar Association’s National Conference on Specialty Courts, Criminal Justice Group Committee and chairs the Colorado Interagency Task Force on Drunk and Impaired Driving.
