I am a registered materials scientist (Reg. No. 400234/11). Presently I have worked for more than ten years in the paper packaging division of neopak (previously Nampak Limited). My training as a material scientist, started with a general degree in chemistry and microbiology. I then completed a pulp and paper degree and shortly after this began my career as a paper scientist (material scientist). I have also trained as a water scientist and packaging scientist. My most recent studies were undertaken with specialising in chemical engineering with a focus on multi-criteria analysis (MCA) and life-cycle assessement (LCA).
