My background is in youth and community development, particularly emphasizing the role art (and the arts) have in empowering individuals. I love promoting community arts such as mosaic, glass painting, painting, sketching, and clay and using them to enable people to tell their story. 
More recently I have turned my attention to adult education, and the role adult education can play in not only enriching people's lives but also in helping to raise awareness of political, social and economic issues. The relationship between the micro level of personal experience within the macro level of social structures underpins my andragogy.
