Miquel Pueyo Par鱈s (Lleida, 1957) is doctor in Catalan Philology for the University of Barcelona. Since 1979, he has been professor of Sociolinguistics and Language Policy in the University of Lleida, where he was also vice-dean of Audiovisual Communication in the Faculty of Arts, between 2001 and 2004. From 1986 to 1988, he led the reform of the Institut dEstudis Ilerdencs, a public cultural institution.
