Mohammad Nami is a medical doctor holding PhD in Neuroscience. He is currently Head of the Department of Neuroscience and Vice-Chancellor for Research Affairs at the School of Advanced Medical Science and Technologies, Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, Iran. Beside the clinical practice of sleep medicine, and neurosomnology in particular, his areas of research have been:
• Neuro-cognitive burden of sleep deprivation,
• Sleep , biorhythms and neuro-cognitive functions,
• Exploring the linkage between common abnormal findings in sleep testing (PSG) with cognitive capacities including vigilant attention, learning, memory, reasoning, planning, decision making and executive functions.
