As an advocate for education Lillian has served as the President of the Community College of Southern Nevada President’s Advisory Board and the Chairperson of the CCSN Science Center Advisory Board. She is also the Chairperson for the Board of Directors for the Walker African-American Museum and Research Center, and is a member of the advisory boards of Goodwill Industries, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada, and Positively Kids, as well as an honorary member of the Las Vegas Art Museum Board of Directors. In the social sector, Lillian is an active member of The Social Register of Las Vegas. In previous years McMorris served on the advisory board of the Marketing Committee of .
