About
Like most Australians, I have been going on walkabouts since I was five, when the family dog and I would escape for the day. A few years later my family moved to Canada and I continued my travels exploring parts of North America.
My wife and I spent a year traveling the world in 1993-1994 and again 2005-2006. In 2007, we walked the famous pilgrim trail, the Camino de Santiago in Spain.
In 2008 my wife and I walked 1,000 km, from Switzerland to Rome, along an ancient elusive pilgrim trail called the Via Francigena. We then wrote and published a book about our experiences, called "An Italian Odyssey: One Couple's Culinary & Cultural Pilgrimage." To learn more about this adventure
