Nuwan Abeywardanas had his primary and secondary education at Dharmashoka College, Ambalangoda. Then he was selected to follow B.A degree at University of Peradeniya (UOP). At university, at time of selecting specialization due to his inherent love to our Cultural Heritage he selected Archaeology as the specialization stream. At the end of the fourth year he was able to qualify himself by obtaining a first class honours degree as well as several awards and scholarships. After graduation he had a chance to work as a field officer for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
