Patrizia, a native of Bologna had many interesting careers (mom, teacher, translator, painter, photographer and writer in three languages) before finding her true calling as a filmmaker. What confounded her was a talent for both languages and the visual media. The confusion was aggravated by her studies. After gaining a university degree in Foreign Languages, she travelled extensively worldwide but when she returned to Italy, she sought a more creative outlet for her energy, and gave vent to her second talent. She gained an MFA at the Academy of Fine Arts, majoring in Art History and Painting, with a minor in Photography. While pursuing all the above-mentioned careers. And the schizophrenia
