I am passionate about removing barriers to learning. I consider communication networks and FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) key drivers to this aim.
TEL (Technology Enhanced Learning) provides a pedagogical focus to social-technical innovations and assists in improving cost-effectiveness for both the individual and organisations. The domain of TEL describes the support of any learning gained through the use of technology.
Adopting approaches that break down barriers of time, date, duration and location of learning by adapting pedagogy/andragogy to suit new paradigms and expectations will take learning forwards in the 21st century.
