I grew up in Buchans and went to school in Buchans during the 1970's
In the 1980s I lived and learned at Memorial University. I started out with a focus on engineering but moved quickly into Political Science (BA PoliSci 1987). While at MUN I worked within MUN for a period time doing everything from university tour guide and computer room manager to a Faculty of Business computer lab instructional assistant. I had three fantastic work terms that brought me to different places to meet new people. I worked in communications with Energy Mines and Resources in St. John's, accounting/computer work with Veteran's Affairs in Charlottetown and database/research work with Indian Affairs in Ottawa
