Started in the Fire Service in 1980 working as a seasonal firefighter for California Department of Forestry (now CALFIRE) at the Ramona FFS. Continued my career with CALFIRE working through the ranks of FFII, FAE, Fire Captain to Battalion Chief. Experienced in wildland, municipal fire protection, emergency medical care and incident command. I have held assignments in rural and metropolitan areas. Additional experience in Command Center Operations, Training and Incident Command Teams (Planning Section Chief Type 1).
