1974, began scuba diving in Rabaul, PNG. 1980, began training as a Commercial Oil Field Diver at UTC (Underwater Training Center) Cronulla, Sydney. Began his career in Singapore with Oceaneering International. Many surface gas, bell bounce and air dives were logged in these first few years. 1981, first saturation dive on the Wodeco IV to a depth of 480 fsw. 1985, HSE Part I (Air Dive Certificate), CSWIP 3.1U and Lloyd’s NDT exams in England. 1987, awarded HSE Part II (Saturation Dive Certificate) by experience. 1987, 1989 - Fraser Diving International in Singapore.
