Allissa Hosten, 27, is an award-winning journalist and college professor who empowers people to tell their stories using new media and technology. She is passionate about training the next generation of journalists to be multimedia storytellers and critical thinkers. Her educational philosophy is rooted in the belief that new media—and the citizen journalism it inspires—can ultimately improve the way we teach our kids, conduct business and participate in the democratic system.
