In 2006, I returned from a year long trip around the world and as an eager 20 something was ready to figure out what my next adventure would be. I had been an athlete all my life and loved creating things so I thought I would naturally move into sports or marketing. I ran into a mentor who suggested I apply for a high tech sales leadership program. I had convinced myself I didn't want to be in sales but my network was slim and I was anxious.
