After finishing my master's degree (2 years) in molecular biotechnology at Aalborg University with a semester abroad in a highly international research community (SCELSE), I was enrolled as a PhD student at Centre for Microbial Communities, Aalborg University, In my PhD project I dealt with multiple aspects of microbial ecology of anaerobic digesters, focusing on DNA based molecular techniques and bioinformatics to expand the knowledge of microbial communities involved in anaerobic digestion and add relevant genomes to the under-represented parts of the tree of life.
