I am an expert in metabolomics, with specific focus on experimental design, sample preparation, data acquisition applying chromatography and mass spectrometry platforms and metabolite annotation/identification. I apply my skills in translational medicine and systems medicine applications to understand molecular pathophysiological processes and to define prognostic or diagnostic biomarkers of disease or response to interventions. Clinical research groups I collaborate with include endocrinology, cardiac disease, immunology and inflammation, complications of pregnancy and reproductive medicine.
