The Martin B. Anderson Kids Afield Teams A ¨C K conducted an experiment where they took twigs from Forsythia and Lilac bushes and photographed them. They then placed the twigs in water and in a window to see if the twigs would grow leaves, flowers, or roots. The students asked questions about whether the twigs needed soil and water to grow, and what would happen if a twig was placed in the water upside down. Over 20 student teams were involved in the experiment.
