After high school, went on active duty in the Navy. Served in the last blimp squadron (Lakehurst, NJ), and then the USS Saratoga (aircraft carrier) which included a 6 month cruise in the Med.
After the Navy, in 1962, I went to Southern Illinois University for BS and MS degrees, got married in college, and 15 months later was a father!
After college,worked at Leo Burnett (advertising agency) in Chicago for 10 years, then went to Texas to be a professor (2 years), then on to Minneapolis and another ad agency. In 1983 I was recruited to Campbell Ewald in Detroit area for a senior management role on the Chevrolet account. Retired in 2005. Now I do what I want when I want (except, "Yes
