The Rosemont Project is an open-pit copper/molybdenum/silver porphyry/skarn deposit located in Arizona. It is expected to be one of the largest copper mines in the United States, accounting for approximately 10% of total U.S. copper production.
In July 2014, Hudbay Minerals acquired Rosemont Copper Company. Since that time, much work has been completed at Rosemont including exploration drilling, production of an NI43-101 technical report, engineering on the plant and open pit for the Project and environmental permitting.
