About
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity,Inc. was founded November 17, 1911 on the campus of Howard University by three undergraduate students and a faculty advisor seeking to establish an organization based on the motto "Friendship is essential to the soul".
The establishment of the Nu Kappa chapter on SMU's campus occurred in the Fall of 1977 through the hard work and dedication of six courageous men: Larry Belcher, Stephen Hamilton, Byron Boyd, Alvin Burris, Glen Barry, and Joe Norman. The Nu Kappa Chapter was chartered October 14, 1977.
After over 30 yrs of service, our chapter is still hard at work doing the business of Omega. We continue to serve the community in the spirit of true brotherhood
