I work for the Dept of Social Services as a Family Support Eligibility Specialist. I determine eligibility for basic family services such as food stamps, temporary assistance, child care, medicaid, and family medical for families in need and then act as their case worker to determine continued eligibility. I am glad to get started in my career helping families in need and hope to work my way up in the state to my ultimate goal of doing more intensive casework with the mentally ill, substance abusers and victims of domestic violence.
