Piñata Presence is an ongoing interactive art project in which artists Shannon Gowen and Gabriela Santiago create temporary site-specific pop-up piñata installations as a means of activating downtown San Antonio. After documenting each installation, the pinata's are left on the street, where passersby's can shoot their own photos and share using the Instagram hashtag #PinataPresence.
