On my 35th birthday, I jumped out of a perfectly good airplane that was more than two miles above the earth. Why? Why not? It was something I had wanted to do for a long time and there seemed no better time. And it was worth every scream. From then on, I knew there would be nothing I couldn’t accomplish. My hopes and dreams were in my hands; I alone would determine my future. With a career spanning more than 20 years, I have worked in the political, higher education, corporate and nonprofit sectors.
