I work as a part-time Chemistry professor and a researcher (Materials Science/Solid State Chemistry). My research area is mechanochemistry, the study of chemical reactions produced by mechanical energy (e.g. by grinding the reactants), avoiding or considerably reducing the use of reaction solvents, for which they are "green chemistry" synthetic methods.
