Simone Tassani received the M.Sc. degree in biomedical engineering in 2005 with the thesis “Analysis of mechanical fracture in human trabecular bone and its correlation with morphometric parameters”, and the Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, in 2009 with the thesis “Evaluation of Bone Strength: Microtomographic Techniques” from Engineering Faculty, University of Bologna, Italy. He was an early stage researcher working at the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute, Bologna, Italy.
