• China’s Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Energy
Administration of the National Development and Reform Commission, recently announced the
second national solar subsidy program, the “Golden Sun” program, which provides upfront
subsidies for qualified demonstrative PV projects from year 2009-2011.

China BIPV Program

• Grant Type: Installation Projects
• Amount: RMB20/W for BIPV system
• Geographic Focus: Cina

• The BIPV subsidy program announced in March this year, provides upfront subsidy for
grid-connected rooftop and BIPV systems.

• This program, in addition to the Golden Sun Program, are the most concrete form of policy
support for PV offered by China national government so far.


US Solar Decathlon Competition

US Department of Energy Solar Decathlon 2013

• The U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon challenges 20 collegiate teams to design,
build, and operate solar-powered houses that are affordable, energy-efficient, and attractive.

• The winner of the competition is the team that best blends cost-effectiveness, consumer
appeal, and design excellence with optimal energy production and maximum efficiency.


UK Environmental Grants

Business Environmental Support Services

• Grant Type: Other
• Amount: £2,000
• Geographic Focus: Greater London

• The URBAN Project is provided by environmental consultancy Creative Environmental
Networks (CEN) with funding secured from the European Regional Development Fund.

• Through the scheme, Greater London-based SMEs are entitled to receive £2,000 worth of
free environmental consultancy to help them achieve tangible improvements in both their
competiveness and environmental performance.


UK Digital Grant Program

Digital Testbed: Network Services
Demnostrators

• Grant Type: Research & Development
• Amount: £2,000,000 fund
• Geographic Focus: UK
• Deadline: 24th June 2010
