It is my belief that love is the essential foundation of justice, equality, empathy, respect, solidarity, and change.
My family comes from the mountains in which agriculture was (and still is) a way of life. Knowledge of our history, way of life, medicine, spirits, the power of twins, etc. remain with us despite many of us living and having been born far away from our sierras, ranchos, and adobe homes. Many of us are now urban & street savvy (L.A., Guadalajara, Oakland, Vallejo, & Chicago will do that to you). I talk about them because they are what make ME.
