Due to very diverse travel and working experiences within tourism and leisure in many countries, I developed a thorough knowledge of the tourism sector. I have been involved in tourism research projects in Kenya, Gabon, Nicaragua and Ecuador, in which a combination of tourism, governance, biodiversity protection and local development played a leading role. My main drivers are sustainability, travel, multiculturalism and the quest for a holistic perspective on all of them. As a teacher and researcher I seek to bring together these passions.
