Tom grew up in Chicago, began his career in aerospace, then moved into healthcare. His 45+ year healthcare career includes 13 years with American Hospital Supply Corp (now Baxter) where gained valuable experience in 13 U.S. & international operations as a turnaround executive before being appointed President, American Heyer-Schulte. He was recruited by Tom Perkins (Kleiner Perkins) to translate KPCB’s first medtech investment to an operating company. He has led many early-stage stage companies through multiple financings, raising over $200 million in private & public markets.
