I am a single mother of a wonderful 16 year old daughter. She and I have been on our own since 2002 when her father/my husband passed away after battling cancer for 3 years. Even though his death has been hard on us, we have grown closer and stronger every day since. In 2007 I took a big leap and went back to college as a full-time student. I graduated in December 2009 with a BA in business and I started grad school in January.
