Teme M. Levbarg earned a bachelor’s degree in Multi-Disciplinary Social Science and a master’s degree in Social Work from Michigan State University, and doctorate in Organizational Development at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Levbarg has over 25 years of experience as an adult educator, supervisor and leader in public health. She came to the UNC School of Public Health as the Assistant Director in the Office of Continuing Education in 1985. From 1987 until April 2009, she worked as a Continuing Education Specialist, designing and teaching continuing professional education courses.
