My name is Thandwayo Lunika, I am a preservice English and History teacher. I am currently doing my third year at the University of Johannesburg. I am passionate about teaching as I view it as a way of giving back to the community and an opportunity to contribute to the future generation. I fundamentally believe that the values and skills we instill into our students now mold them into the adults they become. I have a humanist approach to teaching, and I believe that learners should be viewed as whole human beings and treated as such. Learners learn better when their feelings are acknowledged and the classroom becomes their safe space. I am interested in African literature and volunteering.
