Dr. Trisha Craig is a political sociologist. Prior to moving to Singapore last year, she directed the Center for European Studies at Harvard University. Her work focuses on public policy, especially in the social sector, on political and economic development, and on demographic processes. Trisha has taught and worked in many countries that in addition to Singapore include Spain, the UK, China, India, Thailand El Salvador and South Africa. She holds a PhD from Yale University and her publications include, The Quality of Life in Rural Asia (Oxford University Press.) She is a prolific public commentator for the Straits Times and Today and she blogs at www.trishacraig.org.
