I started my career in the merchant navy as apprentice in 1987. Whilst working my way up through the various hands-on technical and engineering positions, I studied part time to achieve all my qualifications to date.I served at middle management positions up to 2000 after which I entered in more senior technical roles up to and including the current position. I have worked in maintenance, operations and engineering roles for at least 24 years and have managed teams from 6 people up to 250 people.
