I worked as an editor at Sabah, a Turkish daily, from 1996 to 1999. I also taught several courses such as journalism and Middle East politics at the University of Oxford while serving as a freelance consultant for companies in Oxford and London (2002-2009) on energy security, foreign affairs, mass media and education. I wrote several op-eds in the Guardian, Radikal, Daily Sabah, Hürriyet, Yeni Şafak and Turkish Daily News mainly on politics, education and digital issues including social media.
