I am a human geographer by training whose core area of specialisation is concentrated in the field of international development. I am particularly interested in development issues and have research experience and expertise in areas such as population geography, migration and development, transnationalism and mobility, development theory and practice, health policy, sustainable livelihoods and food security, grassroots development, environmental degradation and urban governance. I use both qualitative and quantitative methods of inquiry in my research and I have a working knowledge of GIS and remote sensing.
