I have served in de Royal Dutch Navy (1964-1966), read Law at Utrecht University (1966-1972), worked as a computer programmer (1969-1975), as support staff for empirical legal resarch techniques - statistics, knowledge basd systems (1975-1985) and as assistant, associate and full professor in Computer Science an Law at Leiden University (1985-now), completing my PhD in 1987.
My main research interests concern 'care and accountability in the information society', my approach is 'Legal Requirements Engineering'.
