Six big lessons I learnt:
Lesson 1: The marketing services and advertising business is about big ideas. Always was, is and always will be. Believe me, its very difficult to come up with real ideas, but quite easy to scuttle them away. You'll seldom find people with the former skill.
Lesson 2: Coming up with real ideas can be stressful, making them happen on the ground, even more stressful. But there's always this bunch, who think ideas can happen in sack loads. Result? Drop in real ideas, drop in the fun quotient. And up goes the mediocrity index!
