Akram Mohammed develops various machine learning models for cancer-type classification and biomarker identification using high-throughput genomic data. Akram constructs the multi-cellular comprehensive computational model of the human immune system to understand the dynamics of various infections and co-infections better. Akram mentored 3 undergraduate students in open-source projects such as the statistical web-platform of R and cancerDiscover pipeline through Google Summer of Code program.
