Akshaya is brand management professional, former Director of the Fashion Design Council of India, India’s apex fashion body. He played a pivotal role in bringing a fresh impetus to the FDCI’s strategies to consolidate the Indian fashion industry within India and abroad. He did his schooling from a Sacred Heart Convent, Mathura and went on to graduate in Medicine in Europe in 1992. But left it midway as his interest developed more in corporate after getting exposed to the brands there. On his return to India, in 1995, he completed graduation in Commerce, and went on to graduate in MBA and also fellowship in Brand Management.
