Andrea Catellani studied communications sciences at the university of Bologna (Italy). He obtained a doctorate in Semiotics in 2006, with a thesis on early-modern illustrated spiritual literature. He has taught semiotics and communication analysis in different universities. Between 2007 and 2009 he has been a post-doctoral fellow at the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL, Belgium), as a member of the Group for Early Modern Cultural Analysis (GEMCA). He is now professor in public relations and organizational communication at UCL.
