André Thomashausen (Dr. iur) is professor of international law and Manager of the renowned Centre of Foreign and Comparative Law, at the University of South Africa in Pretoria. From 2007-2014 he was Head of Department of the Constitutional, International and Public Law Department at the same University.

He is a German national, and a practicing attorney at the Bar of Frankfurt am Main in Germany, as well as sworn court translator for German, English, French and Portuguese.
