Angelica Ramos, born and bred primarily in the East Bay, is the proud daughter of Filipino immigrants - who are both card carrying healthcare unionized employees with the State of California and County of Alameda. Raised with strong progressive values, Angelica learned that opportunities must be seized, coveted, and shared. Her father once told her, "I will have to work 150% to be considered equal to the other doctors . . . but for you, you probably will have to work 250% because you are a minority girl to be successful."
