Patrick O. Ongom a graduate student at Purdue University, pursuing Doctor of philosophy in Plant Genetics and Breeding. He previously acquired his Masters in Plant Breeding and Seed Systems, and Undergraduate degrees from Makerere University, Kampala. Patrick obtained the 2013 Dr John D. Axtell Graduate Student Award in Plant Breeding and Genetics. He has a particular interest in Molecular and quantitative breeding, and has over years developed a passion for teaching and research.
